Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is an American TV chef and ex-teacher at the Institute of Culinary Education. Anne Burrell. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host who has spiky blond hair and an ebullient persona, shows how you can cook dishes that are restaurant quality in your home with simple techniques. Chef Burrell has also worked at some of the top eateries in New York, studied the culinary landscape and traditions of Italy, and battled in Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in the upper reaches of New York area, Chef Burrell discovered a love for cooking and food early on. The Culinary Institute of America sparked her interest in managing restaurants when she received an English/Communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was the place where I experienced the most enjoyable time of my life. I couldn't learn enough couldn't accomplish enough, and I couldn't put in the effort enough. After graduation, Burrell spent one year learning in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in the Umbrian restaurant La Taverna del Lupo as and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, which is a Michelin-starred establishment. In Italy, she developed a deep appreciation and understanding of Italian cuisine and its culture. It is a huge influence on how Burrell approaches her cuisine. Burrell has served on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which helps brighten children who are facing obstacles and is also an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she advocates for the awareness of juvenile diabetes. As a speaker, Burrell travels across the nation to share her passion for cuisine and to promote her professional career as a chef. Anne has, through her whole culinary journey has stated that it's a pleasure to have the opportunity to share her passion for food with other people.
