"Rose") McGowan was born September 5 on 1973. She is an American
actress. McGowan made her film debut in 1992 with Encino Man (1992), and was
nominated for an Independent Spirit Award nomination in 1995 for her performance
as the dark comedy The Doom Generation (1995). Her breakthrough role was in the
film horror Scream in 1996. She was then the lead in the film Jawbreaker (1999)
and Devil in the Flesh (2000). In the 2000s, McGowan became known to television
audiences for her role in the role of Paige Matthews in The WB supernatural
drama series Charmed (2001-2006). McGowan was also a star in Quentin Tarantino
and Robert Rodriguez's double-feature film Grindhouse (2007), for which she was
nominated both for the Saturn Award as Best Actress and the Scream Award as
Best Scream Queen. The album she released her debut album on, Planet 9, was
released in 2018. The album was followed by a new version of Planet 9 in 2020.
McGowan was named the Silence Breakers in 2017 by Time magazine. The award
honors McGowan's advocacy for sexual harassment and assault, particularly with
regard to Harvey Weinstein cases of sexual assault and the Me Too movement. In
the year 2018, she published Brave an autobiography, and was a part of Citizen
Rose, a four-part documentary series.
