Milena Govich

Milena Govich, a director and actor, has directed many episodes of TV such as Chicago Med (2015), The Equalizer (2021), FBI: Most Wanted(2020), Chicago Fire (2012), and others. In addition, she was co-producer and Co-EP on Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018). She is currently a part of two pilots currently in the process of development. Milena was among eight women selected for AFI’s most prestigious Directing Workshop for Women. She also took part in the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors program. Unspeakable was her TV show as well as a short film. The show starred Jeff Kober and Laura Vandervoort, it won the best episodic award at the Seattle International Film Festival as and Best Pilot at the SoHo International Film Festival. Her short film Temporary (2017) has been screened across the nation and was awarded the Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest, and the Director's Choice Award at Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has appeared in more than 100 TV episodes acting as an actress. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Also, she was a part of the Dick Wolf series Conviction (2006) which culminated in her role as the initial and the only female detective in the Emmy-winning show Law & Order (1990). She has also been featured or recurred on several other showslike K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010) (CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) and for the role of Lori Stevens on the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena has been featured in a variety of films such as Sordid Things (2010); A Novel Romance (2011) with Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) with the lead opposite Method Man; as well as the role of #Lucky Number (2015). Milena is an Norman, Oklahoma native. After graduating valedictorian from her high school She went on to earn an undergraduate degree in both vocal performance and premed with minors in violin and dance at the University of Central Oklahoma. In the following years she benefited from her classical ballet background to appear on Broadway in the Sam Mendes/Rob Marshall production of 'Cabaret' at Studio 54.
