Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn (born May 12 1972) is an American actress from the United States. Her most well-known part is that of Kim Wexler, an attorney in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), where she received two times the Satellite Award as Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She's also appeared on the NBC series Whitney (2011)-2013, ABC's I'm with Her(2003)-2004 as well as TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011)-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn was conceived in Norfolk, Virginia on May 12 in 1972. Her mother was an executive secretary in the United States Navy, her father was an agent with the Naval Investigative Service. The family was based in Washington, D.C., Arizona, Japan, and moved around a lot during her early years. Following in the footsteps of her father and grandmother and mother, she was a student of painting, drawing and building from an early age. While she was a lover of the visual arts throughout her life, she discovered a passion for acting. While in college she was exposed to the world of contemporary theater. In 1994, she graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art. In college, Seehorn was looking to get into theater, after the encouragement of her acting teacher. She tried to get noticed through different ancillary positions in D.C. theater. She was able to get some important parts in local theatre productions. But, she was forced to do odd jobs to make ends meet. In order to pay for her expenses, she also got parts in short industrial instructional films. In the next few years, she became involved in more TV productions. The most frequent comparisons she was made was to Bea Arthur, who was described by her as "very humorous," "sarcastic, and knowledgeable" women. These roles were often cancelled after just one or two seasons. In the month of May, 2014, Seehorn was cast in the Breaking Bad spin-off prequel series Better Call Saul. Seehorn plays Kim Wexler, a lawyer as well as the love interest of the aforementioned Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk).
