Rosario Isabel Dawson (born May 9, 1979)[3] is an American actor and producer. Her feature film debut came in 1995's drama series, the independent Kids. Her subsequent film roles include He Got Game (1998), Josie and the Pussycats (2001), Men in Black II (2002), Rent (2005), Sin City (2005), Clerks II (2006), Death Proof (2007), Seven Pounds (2008), Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010), Unstoppable (2010), Zookeeper (2011), Trance (2013), Top Five (2014) and Zombieland: Double Tap (2019). Dawson has voiced characters for Warner Bros./DC Comics, Disney/Marvel and ViacomCBS Nickelodeon. She was also nominated for the Critics Choice Movie Award for Best Actress In a Comedy for Top Five (2014), Trance (2013), Top Five (2014), and Zombieland: Double Tap (2019). Dawson was born May 9, 1979 in New York City. Her mother, Isabel Celeste, is of Afro-Cuban and Puerto Rican ancestry. Isabel was just 16 when Rosario was born. She was never married to Rosario's father, Patrick C. Harris. Rosario was a child when her mother got married to Greg Dawson (a construction worker). In this union, Dawson has a half-brother, Clay, who is four years younger than her. Dawson is also famous for her roles in comic adaptations of books. These include Gail in Sin City (2005), Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014), Claire Temple (2015-2018) and Diana Prince/Wonder Woman on the DC Animated Movie Universe. She also voices Barbara Gordon/Batgirl on The Lego Batman Movie. In 2020, she voiced Ahsoka Tano in the second season of The Mandalorian, and is set to star in the new Disney+ original series Ahsoka. In 2021, she will return to her role as Young Rock, a Dwayne Johnson comedy autobiographical comedy.
