Michelle Lynn Monaghan Bio

Michelle Lynn Monaghan was born on the 23rd of March of 1976. She is best known for her role as the lead in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005), Gone Baby Gone (2007), Made of Honor (2008), Eagle Eye (2008), Trucker (2008), Source Code (2011), Pixels (2015) and Patriots Day (2016). The actress has also been recognized for her performance as Julia Meade in the action spy film series Mission: Impossible, appearing in Mission: Impossible III (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011), and Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018).On the television screen, Monaghan starred as Maggie Hart in the initial season of the crime-drama series True Detective (2014), in which she earned an award for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress. She also appeared as Sarah Lane in the drama series The Path (2016-18). Monaghan was also a part of Eva Geller in the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah which was pulled after just one season. Monaghan was the daughter of Sharon Hammel and Robert Monaghan (a factory worker) and was born in Winthrop, Iowa. Bob and John are her two elder brothers. Monaghan is a Catholic of Irish and German descent . She has graduated from East Buchanan High School, 1994. After graduation, she moved to Chicago to study journalism at Columbia College Chicago and began to model. She modeled in Milan, Singapore, Tokyo and Hong Kong, as well as in the United States. With only one term left to finish her journalism degree in 1999, she left for New York to pursue an acting career. Her first job was as a model. Monaghan was credited in two television roles as an actor in support roles on Young Americans' episodes in 2000. In "Consent" Monaghan played the role of Caroline Busse. She also appeared on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit during the same episode. On the 19th of January 2001, she was featured in "Consent". In the same year, her big screen debut was with Perfume in the role of Henrietta. She also acted as a actor in a supporting role in Unfaithful in 2002. It starred Richard Gere, Diane Lane, and others.
