Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was the daughter of
Gayle (Gaston) who was a national director at Mary Kay and Freddie Wright an
executive pharmacist. She was born in San Diego. She began her professional
career as a model in the year 1980 aged 14 and was a model in Paris as well as
Japan. After high school, she decided to pursue a career as an actress. She was
given a role in the soap opera Santa Barbara (1984) and she was nominated for
three daytime Emmy Awards. She fell in love with Dane Witherspoon during the first
season. They got married in 1986. In 1987, she was the title role in The
Princess Bride. She was given the role of Santa Barbara but left to star in
Denial (1990) with Jason Patric. In 1990, she was playing the role of State of
Grace (1990) in which she got to know actor Sean Penn, by whom she had a
daughter, Dylan Frances, and a son named Hopper Jack. Robin came back to
Hollywood after a long absence with one of her most memorable parts: Tara in
The Playboys (1992). She was extremely stunning and brilliant. She then
appeared in Toys (1992) in Toys (1992) alongside Robin Williams, and she did a
great job in her performance. Wright was also in 1994's blockbuster blockbuster
Forrest Gump (1994), starring with Tom Hanks. For her performance as Jenny she
was awarded an nomination for a Golden Globe Award. The film offered her a
small part in The Crossing Guard (1995) along with Jack Nicholson. After a
string of rejections, she was offered the lead role in MGM/UA’s Moll Flanders
(1996). The film was directed by Pen Densham and featured Morgan Freeman,
Stockard Channing, and Morgan Freeman. She then starred in Erin Dignam's Loved
(1997) along with William Hurt.
