Rachel Emily Nichols

Rachel Emily Nichols was born in Augusta, Maine, the daughter of Alison and James Nichols, a schoolteacher. Nichols has English, French Canadian, German, Irish, Italian and Scottish heritage. She graduated from Cony High School in Augusta and participated in the high jump. Columbia University in New York City offered her a double major in economics and math. She started modeling and launched her career in the industry with work with a number of prestigious companies, including Guess?, Abercrombie & Fitch and L'Oreal. Rachel began her transition into acting after being offered a role on the HBO comedy Sex and the City (1998). In the prequel Dumb and Dumberer, When Harry met Lloyd (2003) her character made her film debut as Jessica Matthews.
